Cruise terminals at the Port of San Diego
Most ships use the B Street Pier and Cruise Ship Terminal, 1140 North Harbor Drive. The Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier serves as a terminal when B Street already has two ships.

San Diego has two cruise terminals, both on the Embarcadero, the downtown waterfront along North Harbor Drive. Most sailings use the same one, so the question most people are really asking is where to get dropped off and when to turn up.
Which terminal you need
| Terminal | Address | Used for |
|---|---|---|
| B Street Pier and Cruise Ship Terminal | 1140 N Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101 | Most ships. Disney, Holland America, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian give this address, and Princess says its ships dock at B Street. |
| Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier | 1000 N Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101 | A third ship, when B Street already has two. |
B Street is the larger pier, with two berths, and the port says most cruise ships dock there. The Port Pavilion is an event venue the rest of the time, with a restaurant and a public plaza, and the port says it becomes a cruise terminal when B Street is holding two ships. One of the port's pages gives the Pavilion's address as 1100 North Harbor Drive; the other three say 1000.
On the port's 2026-27 schedule, which it says was current as of March 2026, the only day with three ships listed is January 3, 2027, when Azamara Quest, Disney Wonder and Serenade of the Seas are all in port. No line's own page says which ship goes to Broadway Pier, so on a day like that, follow the terminal in your cruise documents.
Getting dropped off
The port says your ride can drop you on the pier itself, beyond the gate, whether that is a taxi, a rideshare, a shuttle or a friend's car. You can't leave the car there. The port allows no parking on the pier during your cruise, and there is no long-term parking at either terminal. The parking guide has the lots nearby.
Coming back, Holland America says Uber, Lyft and taxis pick up on Harbor Drive, outside the terminal gate.
When to arrive
The port's advice is to arrive at the boarding time your line gives you, and not before 10 a.m. Each line sets its own.
Disney. Arrive in your Port Arrival Time. If you don't have one, Disney says to arrive between 90 and 60 minutes before the published All-Aboard time. Anyone who turns up early waits outside the terminal, and Disney warns that shelter there may be limited.
Royal Caribbean. Arrive in the time slot you picked in the Royal app. Royal Caribbean says early arrivals can't start boarding. If you didn't check in on the app, you have to finish at the pier at least two hours before the published sailing time. Royal Caribbean's itinerary pages, though, tell guests to arrive at least 2 to 3 hours before departure, so check what your own booking says.
Holland America. Your check-in time is on the boarding pass in your Express Docs. Holland America needs your check-in details at least 90 minutes before departure.
If you are early anyway, the port suggests a walk along the Embarcadero. The first-timer questions list what is within reach.
What to have in your hand
The port asks you to bring your photo ID, your boarding document, and your passport or birth certificate to get into the terminal. Which of those your line accepts is in the documents guide.
Print your luggage tags and staple them on before you leave for the pier. Disney allows two bags per person, each with a Disney Cruise Line tag, and asks you to keep your documents with you when you hand your bags over. Holland America notes there is no luggage storage at the pier, so a late flight home means taking your bags with you.
Accessibility
The port says the terminal has wheelchair-accessible elevators and a passenger gangway. If you need help getting from the curb to the ship, the port's advice is to arrange it with your cruise line before you leave home.
Around the terminals
The Embarcadero runs about two miles along the downtown waterfront, and the port's map of it includes the Maritime Museum of San Diego, the Star of India, the USS Midway Museum and Seaport Village. The port says the Santa Fe Depot, the downtown train station, is two blocks east of the terminals. Holland America's page calls it about a mile, so check the walk on a map if you plan to do it with luggage.
If you leave something behind at the terminal, the port's Cruise Ship Terminal office is on 619.400.4744. Norwegian's San Diego page lists a different lost and found number, 619.683.8966.
