Hotels near the San Diego cruise terminals

The Wyndham San Diego Bayside is across the street from B Street Pier, and the InterContinental puts the cruise terminal a 10-minute walk away. Seven hotels line the Embarcadero.

The cruise terminals are downtown, on the Embarcadero, so a night before your cruise can be spent within a few minutes' walk of the ship. The port counts 20 hotels within two miles of the terminals and seven on the Embarcadero itself. Its map of those seven lists the Wyndham San Diego Bayside, SpringHill Suites and Residence Inn San Diego Downtown/Bayfront, the InterContinental San Diego, the Manchester Grand Hyatt, the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina and the Hilton San Diego Bayfront.

What each hotel's own site says about the walk, the airport and parking is below. We list no room prices. They change by the night, and the hotels' own sites have them.

Wyndham San Diego Bayside

Holland America describes it as next to the B Street Cruise Ship Terminal, Royal Caribbean as across the street, and the hotel's own fact sheet says cruise ships dock directly outside its front doors. The same fact sheet, which is undated, lists a shuttle to and from the airport and some local attractions. Ace's parking listing says airline crews get priority on that airport shuttle, and Royal Caribbean describes a free shuttle to the cruise terminals, so ask the hotel what runs now. The hotel's area page puts the airport 2 miles away, and the fact sheet says about 1.5.

If you're driving in, the Wyndham is also one of Ace Parking's cruise lots. On October 23, 2026 Ace listed it at $30 a day for self-parking with a reservation, and the hotel's own page listed $50 a night for hotel guests. The parking guide has the details, including what Ace charges without a reservation.

SpringHill Suites and Residence Inn

Two Marriott hotels share 900 Bayfront Court. SpringHill Suites says it is next to the San Diego cruise port; the Residence Inn's page doesn't mention the port but gives the same address. Neither runs a shuttle. Both put the airport 2.3 miles away, and SpringHill Suites listed SuperShuttle at $12 one way on October 23, 2026, with a reservation, as its airport option.

InterContinental San Diego

At 901 Bayfront Court, the InterContinental lists the cruise terminal at 0.4 miles, a 10-minute walk. It runs no airport shuttle. Hotel guests paid $57 a day to self-park and $69 for valet on October 23, 2026, while Ace's cruise rate at the BRIC South lot at the same address was $25 a day for self-parking. The hotel lists the USS Midway Museum 0.3 miles away and Seaport Village 0.5 miles.

Homewood Suites Downtown/Bayside

A little further out, at 2137 Pacific Highway, Homewood Suites lists the cruise terminal at 1.1 miles and the airport at 2 miles, with no airport shuttle.

Other Embarcadero hotels

The Manchester Grand Hyatt, the Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina and the Hilton San Diego Bayfront are on the port's map too. We couldn't confirm a distance to the cruise terminal on their own sites, so check the walk on a map before you plan it with luggage.

Choosing

If the point is to walk to the ship, the Wyndham and the Bayfront Court hotels are the shortest walk of the hotels whose own sites give a distance, and you can still drop your bags at the terminal by car if you'd rather not carry them. Flying in on the morning you sail is possible with the airport this close, but Disney recommends allowing at least four hours for travel and security at each end of a cruise. The airport guide has the options.

After the cruise, Holland America says there is no luggage storage at the pier. If your flight is late in the day, ask your hotel whether it will hold your bags.
